This residential 2.1 kW solar PV grid-tied system includes 32 Uni-Solar PVL-68 modules installed on the roof. The Uni-Solar PV modules are flexible laminate modules that are thin and lay flat, creating a seamless look with the rest of the roof. They are visible only as the darker-toned sections on the roof’s south side. These connect to a SMA-America Sunny Boy inverter to convert the DC generated by the modules into grid-acceptable AC. The system is then grid-connected to the local utility.
